The Electronic Book allows us to search the text of a book for selected information.  We can cut and paste text into word processing documents without re-keying.  The eBook can reference dictionaries and encyclopedias to help define the words we are reading.  Internet Links impeded in the text will allow us to quickly transfer the reader to the Internet for supplemental materials.

Interactive books will be the results of this new process.  Readers will be able to communicate to each other while they are reading the materials and exchange ideas.  Teachers will be able to select portions of a book that they want to use for their teaching material and add personal exercises, questions and answers and study guides.
